Ryan Mayer is an enthusiastic and professional artist and designer based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Working across a wide range of disciplines, from identity and branding to print media and web design, Ryan approaches all projects with energy, enthusiasm, an eye for detail and a belief that an initial inspired idea is key to creating effective design solutions. He is quick to grasp new ideas and concepts and develops innovative and creative solutions to problems. He is able to meet the tightest of deadlines in a single bound.

Since the early 90's, at agencies such as Parcom Marketing, Optamedia and Interbaun Communications, Ryan worked with a large variety of clients including CBC, Travel Alberta, City of Edmonton, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, 100.3FM The Bear Radio, Big Valley Jamboree, Alberta Museum Association, Alberta Conservation Association, Blackhawk Golf Course, Canadian Badlands, Wolf Creek Golf Course and INBF Canada as well as a host of smaller new business startups and boutique clients.

Ryan has been an in-house Art Director at edatanetworks as well as a Creative Director at The Focus Corporation.

Ryan is a creative thinker, who spreads his time between working with clients and building his own creative projects. Sometimes, there is little separation between the two. He enjoys working with ideas and breathing life into the intangible. He is forever learning and absorbing information, new technologies, skills, styles and insight to bring into his work. His primary strengths lie in visual problem solving, communicating a message and graphic user interface development. He believes that aesthetic and functional solutions come from intelligent and appropriate design.

Alongside all his commercial work with bluehaus communications, Ryan produces projects and products across a variety of media including photography, digital illustrations, photo manipulations and corrections, poster and T-shirt designs. You can find these projects at the bluehaus.playground - bluehaus playground. Updated several times a year, the bluehaus.playground features conceptual narratives and personal visual work. The playground is a place for Ryan to indulge in creativity without boundaries or limitations and to share his vision of the world. These explorations help show Ryan's wide range of visual and technical capabilities while providing a creative platform for learning and experimentation outside the sphere of client work.
