I never knew what it was like to not look at the world with a tilted head...I’ve always been an artist.
Check my mother’s stash and you’ll find books upon books with sketches of little triangle shaped cars, Ninja Turtles, and the family dog. As I was growing up art just seemed to be the thing I was always interested in.
While I was growing up any time not spent in sports or terrorizing the neighborhood was used for drawing and illustration. As I got older I started high school where I was exposed to photography and grew to love the dark room and taking photos. It was here that I first learned to use the computer as an artistic tool and it soon became the center of my creative world.
My matriculation began in Delaware and shortly afterwards I moved to Las Vegas where I began attending The Art Institute. Working my way through school I also started at an ad agency and learning the skills behind communicating effectively through the creative process. Since graduation with my Bachelor's from AI, I've moved back to the east coast and have worked for several agencies, a magazine, and handled my own clients.
I’d consider myself an expert in computer design and most programs involved in it, but still keep pace with an ever evolving field and am always trying to learn new things. I’d also rather not think of myself as being a “graphic designer” or “web designer”. My imagination has always been my greatest gift and I believe 100% that I can direct my ideas to be effective in any medium that best suits the project.
I absolutely love the outdoors!
I was a Boy Scout in my younger, better behaved days and grew to love camping, rock climbing, and being in the wilderness. I often hunt with my family and it’s not uncommon to find me out on the Delaware Bay fishing or just enjoying the water.
My other love, not surprisingly, has been music.
For quite some time I spent at least one night a week going out to shows and finding any weird bands that I could. It’s a habit I miss and wish I could get back into. I love it all...old hip hop, classic rock, grunge, reggae, electronic, punk, country...you name it.
I’m also a bit, well, no, A LOT of a sports freak, and a Phillies fanatic in particular.
It’s a regular occurrence for me to watch all 160+ games of a baseball season. I enjoy going to the ballpark with my friends to be a part of the game, enjoying good beers, and getting heartburn from $10 sausages and the Phillies’ pitching.
I’m a fairly simple person who’s normally about as easy going as they get. Though not very religious, I often wonder what’s out there beyond what we know. I believe that family and friends are the most important things a person can have and I feel fortunate to have been reconnecting with them these past couple years.
Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions you may have or if there’s anything you’d like discuss.
