my name is Federico Gonzalez and I am a visual artist from Colombia, mainly focused on animation and motion graphics. In 2001 I joined the National University of Colombia to study graphic design, according to my personal tastes in the image and communication. From the fifth semester, thanks to learning new tools and concepts, I began my first explorations in the field of animation, demonstrating skills in creating moving images. After graduating in 2005, I made an animated short film "El Violador de Borrachos”, with it I participate in the second" LOOP Festival of Animation "event that helped me to participate in other Latin American film festivals such as" Cortocircuito of New York " the "Havana Film Festival in New York" and the "Festival In Vitro Visual 2008" event in which I won the special jury award. In 2007 I lived in Buenos Aires Argentina, a city where I studied Visual Effects and video postproduction in the Institute Image Campus. At the same time I worked on Eloisa Iturbe`s design studio, specializing in branding for television, occupying the area of motion grafics. In this place I had a great experience developing high-level animations for an international range of high-end clients as National Geographic, MTV, Fox, Cult, Space, Lifestile, among others.
