The idea behind this was just a simple scene. A mechanic working on and possibly repairing a mech. This is my first real go at a mech and it really was a challenge for me. A lot of thinking went into this, especially the lighting. This piece took a bit to complete. I wanted to keep the Sci-fi elements realistic and subtle and focus on texture and grittiness. All painted in Photoshop, no 3D or photos used except for a few references that I based the background from. Thanks!
