Great Wall Of Type Logo
This project was designed to celebrate the history of typography and show how even the oldest fonts are relevant today. I also wanted use a play on words a develop a logo that represented ‘type’ like the action on a keyboard rather than ‘type’ the study off letterforms. I thought that this would create a nice juxtaposition between the old style typography I wanted to use.
For the logo and branding I deiced to use the font family ‘Didot’ this classic font is often typecast with design for fashion and magazines. I arranged the words in a wall format and created an icon style logo which represented the type tool in any word processing or image editing program. I used white on black to give the overall feel an element of class.
