Inspired by Big Star's India Song, I've created this typographic rendition of Andy Hummel's sublime lyric using a wide range of typefaces. This is the second run of the India Song print. The first having sold out in summer 2010. This print run is considerably larger and has been finished in pink and a very, heavy (almost black) purple. I've hand pulled only twenty of these 500 x 700mm (19.7" x 27.5") prints, hand-printed (by myself) on 220gsm cream Fabriano stock. Each print is numbered and signed by the Artist. Each print is carefully rolled and packed in tissue, then in a sturdy tube for delivery. N.B. Due to this very organic print process, no one print is perfectly rendered. Every print has its own inconsistencies and glitches making each one a distinct original, never to be printed again.
